Now that the sweltering summer is finally behind us, you may be eager for some autumnal adventure. If your plans involve camping, it could be time to upgrade your current vehicle to one that will enhance your outdoor activities. There are several different types of RAM trucks to consider, including:

RAM 1500

No matter what you need for your trip, you should have no trouble bringing it with the RAM 150. Two bed sizes are available: 5-foot-7-inches or 6-foot-4-inches, and the maximum payload is 2,090 pounds. You can also get your bed equipped with RamBox storage bins for even more cargo room. A 60/40-split multifunction tailgate and cargo lights are also available.

If you’ll need to tow a camper or boat, the RAM 1500 makes it easy. When properly equipped, it can tow up to 12,560 pounds. And if you plan to explore some rugged terrain, this truck has excellent off-road capabilities. Skid plates, an off-road chassis and suspension, and a locking differential are all available.

RAM 2500

You’ll be able to fit even more stuff in the RAM 2500, as it offers the choice of an 8-foot bed, in addition to the 6-foot-4-inch model. This truck has a maximum payload of 3,240 pounds. It also takes the tow rating up a couple of notches. While the base engine can tow up to 14,370 pounds, that increases to 19,010 pounds with its diesel engine. There are also several features you can add to make towing easier, including a digital rearview mirror with tow mode and a rear-axle structural crossmember.
