Every few years, drivers often find themselves in need of a vehicle, but a brand-new model doesn’t quite match their budget. Thankfully, at Fields Chrysler Jeep® Dodge RAM in Glenview, we have a wide array of pre-owned cars, trucks, and SUVs. But should you buy a used vehicle or a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) model? Here are a few reasons to choose the CPO path.
Why Buy Used?
A pre-owned car will be your least expensive option, so if you don’t have a lot of money to spend, this is a great choice. And because the purchase price is lower, you can get very reasonable monthly payments. With a used car, you may also be able to pay off your loan faster.
Why Buy a Certified Pre-Owned Car?
CPO vehicles might be slightly more expensive than used cars, but the higher price tag is worth it — because their quality is guaranteed. Vehicles in the Chrysler Certified Pre-Owned Program have to pass a thorough 125-point inspection and road test. Your CPO vehicle comes with some other key advantages, as well.
Warranty Coverage
With your CPO vehicle, you will get a Powertrain Limited warranty good for up to seven years or 100,000 miles, along with a Maximum Care warranty good for three months or 3,000 miles.
History Report
Every CPO vehicle comes with a CARFAX® Vehicle History Report, so you will know exactly how it was cared for by previous owners. This also includes a buyback guarantee that lasts for one year and is transferable.
Emergency Roadside Assistance
For the life of the Powertrain Limited warranty, you will have access to 24-hour emergency roadside assistance. This includes help for a flat tire, dead battery, or a tow to an authorized service center. You can also get reimbursed for rental car fees for covered repairs.
