In case you missed it, the Jeep® brand started off the year with some huge news that affects the entire Jeep community. It’s the kind of news that has the entire Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM team feeling good about what’s in store for our Jeep brand customers in Northfield, IL, Skokie, IL, and throughout Chicagoland.

So let’s get right to it, because this news is sure to make us one of, if not the busiest Jeep dealer serving Chicago, IL. For starters, FIAT Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) US has committed another $1B to the Jeep brand. We say “another” because this latest contribution puts FCA US’ total commitment to the Jeep brand at $9.6B since 2009, all of it due to the unbelievable demand that Jeep vehicles enjoy. This $9.6B is being used to increase production capacity, upgrade and re-outfit two of the Jeep brand’s largest plants (Toledo, OH and Warren, MI), and develop new models. Exciting news to be sure, especially when you consider that a whopping 25,000 jobs have been created over the last seven years.

So what are these new models, you ask? Well, one is an all-new Jeep pickup truck and the others are 21st-century rebirths of two legendary Jeep vehicles: the Jeep Wagoneer and the Jeep Grand Wagoneer. The next-gen Jeep pickup will be built at the Toledo, OH plant and the two Jeep Wagoneer models will be constructed at the Warren, MI location. It’ll be a few years before these awesome vehicles hit our showroom, but the wait will definitely be worth it.

These are exciting times to be a Jeep retailer, a Jeep owner, and a potential Jeep customer. And right now our showroom is fully stocked with excellent choices, including a 2017 Jeep Wrangler near Evanston, IL!
