The 2014 Jeep Cherokee stands out visually, thanks to its aerodynamic design cues, and will have two engine options. The first is a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine that delivers 184 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque while still delivering 31 miles per gallon on the highway. This marks a more than 45-percent improvement versus the outgoing model! The second engine option is a 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 engine that produces 271 horsepower and 239 lb-ft of torque. This model will also offer improved efficiency.
Engines will be mated to a new nine-speed transmission - a first in the segment! Additionally, there will be four trim options to choose from: Sport, Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk. Other highlights for this model include a new independent front and rear suspension, increased torsional stiffness, and an exceptionally quiet cabin.
