Do you have a name for your 2011 Chrysler, Skokie? If getting personal with your car is what matters most to you, then have no fear, because later this year you can start shopping for a special edition of the Chrysler 300C named after American menswear fashion designer John Varvatos.

Sound good? Well, trust us, it will look even better. The Detroit native, who is recognized for his blending of street style and runway-ready, has been in the works with Chrysler to develop a vehicle that puts a fabulously dark twist on an already sleek model. With an all-black car, from blacked-out tail lights and metal accents to a black Chrysler logo, drivers will be putting a new pedal forward in this model.

Modeled after a Varvatos cologne bottle, the Limited Edition model features 20-inch cast-aluminum wheels, titanium-finished mirror caps and grille surround, black chrome grille blades, LED taillamps showing blackened detail and titanium dual exhaust tips. With an interior inspired by Varvatos's award-winning watch collection, drivers will find white face and black metallic bezels on the dash as well as pewter metallic leather seats featuring the Varvatos logo and Varvatos gray and black-pattern stitching.

On the Luxury Edition, drivers will find 20-inch aluminum wheels and a platinum-chrome mesh grille as well as ultra-premium leather and hand-sanded wood on top of napa leather-wrapped seats that are 12-way power-adjustable and include two-mode ventilation and heat options. Die-cast paddle shifters and a chrome accent ring are highlights of the leather-wrapped steering wheel with a segment-exclusive, 360-degree heated rim.

Available in Limited and Luxury editions, we can expect to see the Limited model in the first quarter of 2013 and the Luxury model by Christmas. If you think that means there's one more spot to fill on your Christmas list, keep in touch with Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge to learn more about the availability of this extremely unique vehicle.

For years, car brands have adopted style features from top designers such as Oleg Cassini, Bill Blass and even Levi's jeans. With this John Varvatos model, Chrysler is incorporating the knowledge of a professional with some TV cred on top of street cred, because this designer is a celebrity mentor on the NBC his Fashion Star.

But this isn't the whole story. Varvatos also designed a customized 2012 Chrysler 300S earlier this year for a charity auction. Now, with the 2013 300C, Chrysler hopes to tie the model to its tribute to the Motor City, which has been the focus of its "Imported from Detroit" campaign, and which recognizes the culture and spirit of the city of Detroit.
