It's a busy time of year, what with election season and the impending holiday season and life in general, but if you're able, we'd love for you to take a moment and step back with us. Or think back. What was the best moment in the last five years of your life? A big life change? A small, special occasion? Whatever it was, we're sure it was important enough to stick in your mind these 1,826 days.
For Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge, it's easy to pinpoint, not only because it's very recent. The best sales moment in our last five years came just this October, when sales for the month rose 10 percent (total 126,185 units) over last year and four out of five Chrysler brands saw sales gains.
While this is the highest point in our last five Octobers, it isn't our only moment of celebration. Rather, last month's sales represented the 31st consecutive monthly increase for the brand.
However, in light of the holidays as well as the country's political fervor, we have to say that we're not in it alone. Rather, the performance of our entire country's car brands matters now more than ever, and we're proud to say that this figure is looking up as well. That's because this year's annual sales rate is expected to hit 14.9 million for the second straight month, according to economist expectations and Reuters.
What's more, analysts expect the strong trend to extend into 2013 due to greater stability and reduced risk in the marketplace. Already, macroeconomic factors are influencing the auto industry, with favorable vehicle financing options, increasing home prices and the need to replace older cars driving consumers to dealerships. Other negative factors, like Hurricane Sandy (which may have cost the auto industry some 100,000 unit sales), are expected to shy off this month.
