At Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge, the only thing we put before our inventory is our customers, but we love knowing that our customers keep putting our inventory first. In fact, last month, 40 percent of minivans sold in the United States were Chrysler Town & Country and Grand Caravan models, and for that we have you, our fantastic customers, to thank.
We've always been proud of how our inventory fares in the market, and now that we've seen the numbers, we know why. Last month the automaker sold 9,247 Dodge Grand Caravan models, representing a 42.6-percent increase over July of last year. Year to date, the Grand Caravan has sold the most units of all minivan manufacturers. This represents a 23.3-percent increase over year-to-date sales last year.
But the Town & Country is not at all far behind. Last month Chrysler sold 8,106 units, representing a 24.7-percent increase over July of last year and a 25.1-percent increase over 2011 year-to-date sales. Thus far in 2012, Chrysler has sold a total of 65,957 Town & Country models.
Of course, there's plenty more to report. Evanston Dodge Ram drivers have helped contribute to the success of this brand, which sold 23,824 models in July, representing a 17.3-percent increase over the same month last year. So far this year, the Dodge brand has sold 162,405 models, representing a 22.8-percent increase over this period last year.
Not too shabby, eh? We didn't think so. We want to thank our drivers for being loyal to the Chrysler and Dodge brands, and making July 2012 an exceptional month for us.
