At Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge, we've always been amazed by what our vehicles are capable of, and as we look ahead to the 2013 Ram 1500, we can't help but get excited about what's coming up next.
The 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 that Skokie drivers can look forward to driving is absolutely stacked with tech upgrades designed to boost fuel economy and attract the attention of retail buyers.
Features like adjustable suspension, which regulate the truck's height based on its current terrain, are just the beginning. This feature improves the pickup's aerodynamic efficiency - a first for this type of vehicle. Other tech upgrades include new eight-speed transmission, stop-start technology and a new V6 engine.
Plus, changes like these are certainly a sign of the times. Not only is technology becoming ever more important in our everyday lives, and especially in our cars, but Ram's performance in recent years has set us up for a number of improvements.
For example, Ram sales climbed 22.6 percent in 2011, earning 16.3 percent of all large pickup sales, making last year's share in the market its highest since 2008. Already in 2012 Ram is showing greater strength yet, posting even higher shares in January and February, when it hit a high of 18.3 percent.
As excited as we are about these changes on the 2013 model, we're even more excited to see how they affect the driving experience of a Ram from here on out. We have a feeling that improved fuel economy is just the start.
