Remember summer break when you were in middle school and high school, when you had three months off and all the plans in the world? And then college came along and there were internships to acquire and paychecks to work for? Taking a break can be nice, but when duty calls, taking responsibility can be even nicer.

That's why four Chrysler plants will forgo their usual two-week summer shutdowns this July in order to meet sales demand that is well above the industry average of a 10.3-percent increase compared with last April.

Remember early April for the 2013 Dodge Viper

Remember the Dodge Viper? It's not that we think it's forgettable - it certainly isn't - but since it's been out of the Dodge lineup for one model year, we thought we'd refresh your memory. But when it comes to creating a legacy, we know just as well as anyone else that you don't need constant reminders of a good thing.

But that doesn't mean you don't want to be reminded. How about leaving a little reminder for yourself of the Viper's return? Mark your calendars for early April, because that's when Skokie Dodge Viper fans can expect to see the Viper make its triumphant return at the New York Auto Show.

"Hey now, you're an all star!"

Maybe it's just a taste of that Smashmouth song we all rocked out to a few years back, but it's really about the sentiment, isn't it? We all want to be the all stars in our own lives, and now Skokie Dodge drivers have the opportunity to be behind the wheel of an all star.

Ever notice that lots of songs mention pickup trucks? It's not just country music, either. It's everywhere, and with the test fleet that Chrysler's been working on, even you may find yourself singing about a pickup truck in the near future.

People who really love their cars - people like Skokie Dodge drivers, for example - may be heard to refer to their cars as "lifesavers" or may even say they don't know what they'd do without their cars. None of this is literal, of course. Until, that is, it is.

Early last month, Bloomsburg, Penn., residents suffered a great loss after a relentless flood ravaged the area. Now, Chrysler is truly making efforts to come to the rescue.
