Conformity is usually looked down upon as a form of surrender, but when it's done for the right reasons, conformity can be an admirable move.

Chrysler Group, for one, knows when conformity can be a good thing for its cars, its drivers and the wider world. The automaker is introducing diesel-powered and hybrid vehicles in the United States in order to adhere to strict Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) regulations.

No matter how 2011 treated us, as drivers and as people, we all have plenty of expectations for 2012. Whether they're concerns about the potential demise of the world as we know it in December or your run-of-the-mill resolutions for the new year, 2012 is going to be an exciting 365 days.

More exiting for some than others, though. Jeep Skokie drivers, for one, are anxious to see where the next year goes. On top of the advancements they've already seen from their beloved Wranglers, drivers can be on the lookout for one more: the 2012 Jeep Wrangler may be named sport/utility vehicle of the year. Motor Trend announced the nomination last week and Jeep drivers are already talking about the possibility of a win.

People who really love their cars - people like Skokie Dodge drivers, for example - may be heard to refer to their cars as "lifesavers" or may even say they don't know what they'd do without their cars. None of this is literal, of course. Until, that is, it is.

Early last month, Bloomsburg, Penn., residents suffered a great loss after a relentless flood ravaged the area. Now, Chrysler is truly making efforts to come to the rescue.

People sometimes talk about giving 110 percent, but we all know that's impossible. Giving 100 percent even seems unlikely most of the time. But sometimes smaller percentages can mean a whole lot more than these hyperbolic figures.

That's why Chrysler Group LLC is proud to announce that its 27-percent increase in overall sales during the month of September not only beat out those of all other U.S. automakers - they also surpassed analyst estimates for monthly sales. Dodge Ram Evanston drivers may be in part to thank because deliveries of Ram pickups fueled a notable portion of the 127,334 cars and light trucks that made up the company's boost in figures.
